Sign in with your email and a password
You can now set a password and sign in with your email and password, including in the popup claude.ai and ChatGPT open when you connect Sinatra.
Without GitHub, the only way in was an email link, which meant leaving a claude.ai or ChatGPT popup, or a phone's in-app browser, to find the email and come back. You choose a password on the page your sign-up link opens, or, for an account you already made by email, from Forgot password? on the sign-in page. It needs at least 12 characters, and we refuse one that appears in a public list of breached passwords. A reset signs you out of every other browser but leaves the CLI, Claude, ChatGPT and your tokens connected; disconnect those from the Access tokens page. Two limits for now: an account made with GitHub can't add a password yet, and there's no two-factor sign-in yet; GitHub's two-factor authentication covers only accounts made with GitHub. The email link keeps working either way.
