About Sinatra
We're building the coding agent that works the way a teammate does: you hand it a ticket, it hands you back a pull request.
What Sinatra is
Sinatra is a hosted autonomous coding agent. Assign a Linear issue to it, or add its label to a GitHub issue, and it opens a branch, reads your codebase, writes the code, runs your tests, and opens a pull request for review. There is nothing to install and nothing to run yourself. It lives in the tracker your team already uses.
It never merges. Sinatra works in branches and opens PRs as drafts, marking them ready only after its own review pass; merging stays with you, your branch protection, and your CI, exactly as it would for a human teammate. Each task runs in its own managed sandbox with your repository checked out, and it never merges, deploys, or runs anything against your production environment.
You can bring your own model key (Anthropic, OpenRouter, or a Codex / ChatGPT subscription) and pay your provider directly. We don't mark up your LLM bill.
Founder
Behroz is a software engineer. He built Sinatra after watching coding agents get genuinely good at writing code while the work around them stayed manual. Someone still had to read the ticket, open the branch, drive the agent, and shepherd the result into a reviewable PR.
Sinatra is the version he wanted: triggered from the tracker the team already lives in, honest about cost, and disciplined about where it stops. It opens the PR. A human still decides what ships.

Most of the cost of a small change was never the typing. It's the context switch: dropping what you're doing, paging in an unfamiliar corner of the codebase, finding the test command, remembering the convention. Teams carry a long tail of work that is individually small and collectively enormous, and it sits in the backlog because nobody wants to pay that tax again.
Coding agents can do that work now. What they mostly lack is a place to live. Sinatra's bet is that the agent belongs where the work is already tracked, not in another window you have to remember to open. It should also hand back the same artifact a teammate would: a pull request you can read, argue with, and reject.
The commercial version of that bet is simple pricing. We charge a flat per-member price for the orchestration and the sandboxes, and we take no margin on model usage. If you bring your own key, your LLM spend is between you and your provider.
