Every task hears when its PR merges after it went quiet
When a PR merges or closes after its task has been idle for a while, the task now says so in its GitHub issue or API task, not only on Linear, and a failed task whose PR closes unmerged stays failed so you can retry it.
A task stops waiting on its own after a long idle period, and a merge or close that came later was recorded but only announced on Linear tasks. GitHub issue and API tasks were silent. That line now goes to the task's own conversation, the same way it does while the task is still waiting. A failed task used to be marked cancelled when its PR closed after the idle period; it now stays failed, as it does when the close comes in sooner.
